reading was aaaaaawesome
i got back a few hours ago. it was sooooooo good. gossip were by far the best band there. yeah yeah yeahs were also pretty good, but they were on at the main stage, and the sound there is awful cos it’s such a big open place. kings of leon were also pretty good. and new found glory, polar bear club, alexisonfire, friendly fires, the horrors, spinnerette, leftover crack, bouncing souls and bloc party were the best bands i think. i’m at chris’ house now stealing his internet. HI CHRIS!
when i first listened to this single i was a bit weirded out cos they had two different versions of the title song (and a third song called ’these days’ which is also awesome). but i realized that the two recordings sound a bit different. so then i read ’touching from a distance’, and apparently ian curtis was challenged to sing it like frank sinatra on the second (and shorter) take. how awesome.

i’m in port talbot, wales now. wales is cool, it’s just full of old people. and i was surprised to hear there’s no mac cosmetics store here. but it’s way cheaper than london so that’s cool. we have to get up sooo early tomorrow to get the coach. but i’m still packing! uggggh. and i saw the biggest massivest moth in the world earlier. anyways, talk to you later/at reading <3
